That’s why somatic yoga therapy looks at the connections between all of our parts to find and heal the root of the problem rather than focusing solely on the active symptom. Symptoms are quick to return. However, by working with the source of pain or movement dysfunctions we can create efficient and long-lasting results.
Western medicine is created around a framework of fixing what’s broken. And, in my experience, it does a good job of that. But – what’s missing is recognition that when one part of the body is limited in its abilities, all other parts of us (including our minds as well as our muscles) feel the effects.
